Body Rhythm Festival – 10 Years Anniversary

Body Percussion, Circle Singing, Moves! The Body Rhythm Festival in Hamburg celebrates its 10th anniversary on Whitsun weekend. It has been combining rhythm, movement and voice since 2015 and brings people from all over the world together. Here, your own body becomes a musical instrument: beats and sounds with all your senses. Three and a half days are packed with workshops and concerts.
Modern body music is versatile! In addition to rhythms with the sounds of your own body, the festival includes numerous related topics: Circle Singing and Vocal Painting, Choreography and Brazilian Songs, Pedagogy and Rhythm Games, Improvisation and Performance, Taketina and Konnakol, Beatbox and lots of Groove.
Over the entire weekend, 200 participants will groove their way through more than 60 workshops from the various genres of body music. The open stage on Saturday evening will feature surprises from the participants' repertoires.
The festival will be opened with a concert by the Italian ensemble Collettivo Rosario in the Lichthof Theatre on 6 June 2025.
On Sunday evening, the top-class international festival artists will get the FABRIK vibrating at the Body Rhythm Night. To mark the anniversary, the pop choir Cantaloop from Hamburg will enrich the show with its rousing sound. The concert evening is the highlight of the Body Rhythm Festival - with special glamour to mark the anniversary.
Before the festival begins, there will be a free public circle singing in the park, weather permitting.
At the concerts, people of all ages can take a look beyond the musical horizon. The workshops invite everyone aged 18 and over, with and without previous experience, to marvel, groove and take melodies with them. The festival aims to promote connection and community and welcomes people of all backgrounds and identities.
