Music Circle in the Park – Woodley Park Amphitheater

Let's come together this Saturday, in these challenging times - to sing, move, share...in the cool morning 🙂. I believe that we truly need one another....and we get to support our playful, joyful nature - TOGETHER. PLEASE come out this Saturday morning August 8, 2026
MUSIC OF THE CIRCLE…..
On SATURDAY morning, August 8th…from 10am-12pm, we’ll be holding our monthly open circle-music meeting, a practice of music and human development through collective musical improvisation and body percussion/movement, based on principles from the Instituto Música do Círculo, Rhiannon, Bobby McFerrin….. It's free, open to anyone, with participation completely optional and no previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to meet and dive into the fun of making music and connecting collectively. The focus is on HEALING…..while building connection, community, creativity.
Open up to the music that already LIVES in you….we can allow more creativity into each of our lives. No prior experience is necessary. There will be musical games & exercises, community-building, and definitely a fair amount of musical improvisation - it’s FUN! 🙂
Be prepared to PLAY, and MOVE, and SING (maybe even shout & make silly sounds 🙂 ....and certainly…..get more connected to your sisters & brothers in song…..
Where: We will meet at the “Amphitheater” at Woodley park (map is below)…. it’s lovely. (If we need to move, we’ll try to stay somewhat nearby).
When: Gather @ 9:45am, to visit & get acclimated. We sing until 12 pm. (Come, anytime, but the beginning sets the tone). Enter off Woodley Ave; follow the signs to the Archery Center).
Please invite your friends and loved ones to join us in the Circle….(there are no fees/costs). This is a Community event, and the more, the merrier.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow movement. Afterwards, you can enjoy the wildlife refuge
