Workshop playful vocal improvisation & spontaneously created songs

In the workshop, we explore our vocal possibilities, singing and vocalising as soloists, in duets, trios or groups, creating patterns, sounds and songs in the here and now, whilst connecting both with ourselves and with others…

Whatever may emerge from our inner musical treasure trove – or our inner sound dump – be it musical or non-musical fragments – is allowed to come to the fore and serve as inspiration for a form of musical or even physical (perhaps even dance-based) expression.

Everything that happens is therefore experimental and depends on our listening, our presence in the here and now, and our mindful, appropriate response to the material offered to us by our fellow participants…

In this safe space, free from the fear of making mistakes, we explore how musical ideas emerge, are brought to life and can be varied endlessly and effortlessly. We experiment and discover how we can connect with others whilst listening with joy and experiencing resonance in a playful way.

Participation fee for the workshop: self-assessed between €35 and €50 (please register by emailing sarah@banza.net)

In the evening, a Performance Night will take place at Studio K77, which workshop participants are welcome to attend as performers or audience members if they wish.
