A week-long gathering of Australian facilitators in Vocal Improvisation, Taketina, body percussion, Musica do Circulo, embodied choir work, somatic voice, and experimental theatre voice practices. This is a space for experienced artists and facilitators to come together, share skills, experiment, and co-create.
With a maximum of 8 facilitators, each 1/2 day to day will feature a different leader guiding the group through their practice. Our aim is to build connections, explore creative intersections, and spark new collaborations across the field.
What to expect:
-Deep engagement with voice, body, rhythm, and ensemble work
-Shared improvisation, experimentation, and emergent musical forms
-A culture of co-creation: all participants contribute to simple meal preparation, with pre-prepared meals to keep the focus on the work
-Opportunities to connect with other facilitators from across Australia
Who it’s for:
-People who have experience facilitating vocal improvisation, somatic voice, body percussion, experiential body-voice-theatre, Taketina, Musica do Circulo, or similar embodied, musical, or improvisatory practices
