Vocal Play! Singing session for mamas and babies

Join us for a mamas-and-babies singing session with a twist! If you’re a weary mama looking to recharge your batteries while reconnecting with your creativity – and soothing your baby along the way – Vocal Play could be just the tonic you need.

Suitable for: mamas with babies who are not yet crawling (up to around seven months).

Sing, sound, and play with us!

You won’t learn traditional songs in Vocal Play. Instead, Agustina and Danielle will teach songs made up of simple, layered parts that they’ll improvise on the spot. As we move through the session, you’ll have the opportunity to reawaken your creativity by adding your own little improvised phrases to our group sound – but only if you wish. Otherwise you can simply sing parts that someone else has made up, and immerse yourself in the magic of songs that take shape in the moment.

Together we will:

*Play with sounds and simple rhythms
*Sing accessible improvised songs made of repetitive parts, layered to create beautiful harmony
*Sing our babies’ names and spontaneous lullabies

Come as you are, do as you need!

This will be a zero-pressure, relaxed musical experience with an emphasis on nourishment and play. All singing abilities and levels of experience are welcome. All levels of sleep-deprivation and states of ‘baby brain’ are welcome too! You are free to feed, rock, and change your baby, as well as move around at any time during the session.
